Read about this University of Kentucky program called “Waste Not Want Not” (WiN-WiN). This program addresses food insecurity and waste in Jessamine County by collecting donated fresh produce from home gardeners, farmers, and community members that would otherwise go to waste. The program then redistributes this rescued produce through seven drop-off locations to help feed food-insecure residents with nutritious fresh produce.
